Life is Sweet with Sugarfina

As you may already know, my favorite candy store in the whole world is in California: Sugarfina! The brand offers the best of the best of gourmet candy. From Kyoto Blossoms imported from Japan to Aphrodite Strawberries imported from Greece, it is no surprise or secret that Sugarfina carries the most fine, exquisite candy. I recently got the opportunity to sample more of the high-quality sweets to share with you guys. And I’m squealing with joy and excitement. Let’s get this started.

The beautiful assortment of candies~ My sister, Cachet de Chloé, will review the top ones, and I will do the bottom :-) I’ll link her post at the bottom of this one!

Gotta love this.

From left to right: Robin’s Egg Caramels, Matcha Green Tea Caramels, Champagne Gummy Bears, Kyoto Blossoms, Sugar Lips, Confetti Dolci

Champagne Gummy Bears: Imported from Germany, these gummy bears are reminiscent of popping a bottle of sparkly, bubbly champagne. There are two different flavors: Brut or Rosè. The idea! They’re über moist and chewy, absolutely delicious. You can’t deny the fact that this is one heck of a gummy bear. Definitely the best one I’ve tasted thus far. (P.S. They’re non-alcoholic ;-)) FullSizeRender 3

Kyoto Blossoms- These are so aesthetically, organizationally (note the layers!) gorgeous that I had a hard time eating one, as I did not want to ruin the dazzling rainbow stripes. Sugarfina really makes an effort to pay attention to the provenance of its ingredients. Kyoto Blossoms were candies served by the Imperial House of Japan to dignitaries and distinguished guests. Every candy has its own unique story–that’s one of the many reasons I cherish the brand. As for the taste, each color has its own flavor, so pink would be strawberry,  yellow would be pineapple, and so on. Although Kyoto Blossoms appear to be very small and delicate, the flavor is anything but! It is distinguished, and almost reminds me of a crystal cube of delightful sugar molded into a star, if that makes sense. It’s so tasty! Imported from Japan, unsurprisingly…

Robin’s Egg Caramels-  These egg caramels look exactly like they are named: Robin’s eggs. So. Perfect. These are one of the best candies you will ever taste in your life. Not an exaggeration at all. The crunchy top shell is contrasted by the soft, rich, and creamy caramel inside filling. While the inside is oozing out into your mouth, it is accompanied by a crisp exterior for the ultimate juxtaposition effect. It’s so incredibly delectable and delicate. You’ll fall in love with these eggs. Tweet tweet.

That’s a wrap! Thank you so much to the people at Sugarfina for sending me and Chloé these lovely treats*– you guys are the sweetest (pun intended). If you would like to purchase any of the candies we reviewed, please click on the links here:
